Commenting on his student's performance, coach Vu Hong Viet said: "Caique has very good skills, with excellent reflexes and counter-attack situations.

This is part of the reason for Nam Dinh Club's victory in the opening matches of AFC Champions League Two and Southeast Asian Cup C1".

Before moving to Vietnam to play, Caique Santos played for famous teams in Brazil such as Grêmio and Esporte Clube Vitória. The 28-year-old goalkeeper had a total of 32 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A and was called up to the Brazilian U20 team.

With a strong foreign squad, Nam Dinh FC always has a balanced starting lineup despite having to play three matches in a week. This also helps the domestic players to be more confident when aiming for high goals in this season.

Regarding the victory over Svay Rieng on September 25, the best player of the match Lam Ti Phong had to get a few stitches in his eye after the match ended.

Lam Ti Phong scored two goals with a white bandage on his head.

The 29-year-old striker suffered a torn eyelid in the collision but continued to play and scored two goals within just 4 minutes, contributing greatly to Nam Dinh FC's victory. The medical team said that Lam Ti Phong's injury was not too serious and he could still continue playing after treatment.
