Family in Ho Chi Minh City travels for 10 days in a 1.5 billion VND "mobile home" to celebrate September 2nd

(Dan Tri) - On the occasion of National Day September 2, Ms. Doan Thanh Giang's family traveled nearly 2,000km in a 1.5 billion VND "mobile home" with many memorable memories.

Recently, Ms. Doan Thanh Giang (30 years old) and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam (36 years old), living in Ho Chi Minh City, took their 3 young children on a 10-day trip along the Central Highlands.

This is her family's trip to celebrate September 2nd. However, Ms. Giang chose to go earlier than the main holiday to avoid traffic jams and crowds. Accompanying the family is a "mobile home" worth 1.5 billion VND.

This "mobile home" is actually a pickup truck with equipment imported from Germany. The structure of the device is similar to a cargo container mounted on the truck bed, which when opened will create a two-story living and sleeping space.

The upper level has a 1.6m x 2m mattress, the lower level has a 0.8m x 2m mattress, enough for the whole family to sleep comfortably. The tent on the car is made of multi-layer waterproof fabric, which is both heat-insulating and rain-resistant, and has four windows for ventilation and sightseeing.

The truck bed is intelligently designed with a mobile awning that can be opened and closed by remote control, providing shade from the sun and rain when stopping. The body of the bed extends to both sides, creating a cooking space. The truck is equipped with a water tank and a backup power system that can maintain household appliances such as air conditioning, lights, fans, and refrigerators.

With just 20 hours of charging, this amount of electricity can be used for 4 days of daily activities. The roof also has a solar panel to supplement electricity.

This "mobile home" has accompanied Ms. Giang's family on many short and long trips. Ms. Giang also said that this trip was the "biggest" September 2nd celebration trip her family has ever had. The journey was nearly 2,000km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak , Gia Lai...

Unlike previous trips which were carefully prepared, this trip of Ms. Giang’s family came quite unexpectedly. However, since this was the second time the family had traveled this route, they were familiar with the roads.

"What I found most meaningful was the moment we stopped in Lam Dong (formerly Binh Thuan ) to do charity work. The whole family had the opportunity to give rice, pens, and books to the children, so they could prepare for the new school year. That human connection made the trip warmer than ever," Ms. Giang shared.

Each destination left a unique impression that made her family feel excited. In Bao Loc, the small family was immersed in a "cloud paradise", experienced the "cloud hunting" and enjoyed the cool air. In Dak Lak, her family took the opportunity to enjoy a cup of famous Ban Me coffee.

"In Gia Lai, the whole family was captivated by the beauty of Tan Son dam in the full water season and the vast Tonle Sap Lake. We also strolled around the night market and enjoyed grilled food in the chilly weather among the pine forests in Mang Den.

Arriving in Quy Nhon (Gia Lai province), the whole family listened to the waves of Nhon Ly and Nhon Hai and chatted with the gentle fishermen. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City, we stopped at Long Hai fishing village, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, swimming, enjoying fresh seafood and watching the fishermen fishing," said Ms. Giang.

Throughout the trip, Ms. Giang felt more clearly how beautiful Vietnam is with many outstanding destinations. The biggest difficulty in her family's trip this time was that her youngest child was sick.

Due to the constant change in climate between the forest and the sea, the baby had a fever for several days and wanted to be held more. However, the baby still followed the family on the entire journey. "Meanwhile, my two older children are used to "fighting", they sleep when they get on the bus, and play hard when they get off the bus," she said.

"Being able to travel freely and comfortably with my family before the September 2nd holiday, I feel even more grateful to the previous generation because thanks to their sacrifices, today we can live in peace and roam around exploring everywhere on this "S" shaped strip of land," Ms. Giang shared.
