Galaxy Z Fold6 price "hits rock bottom" in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - Entering the final stage of its life cycle, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 duo are being heavily discounted by dealers, paving the way for the upcoming successor generation.

Specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is being offered by some systems at a price starting from 34.5 million VND for the 256GB version. This price is 9.5 million VND lower than the selling price at the time of launch. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip6 has also been adjusted down to 19 million VND, 10 million VND lower than the listed price.

According to many leaked sources, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 foldable phone lines will be introduced by Samsung next July. The above price reduction is considered a move to clear inventory by dealers to prepare for the new Galaxy Z duo about to hit the shelves.

“At present, the purchasing power of Galaxy Z Fold6 has somewhat stagnated and shows signs of a slight decline compared to Z Fold5 in the same period last year. Despite some improvements in design and performance, this product line has not really made a clear breakthrough compared to its predecessor,” said a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile system.

Also according to dealers, sales of Galaxy Z Fold6 throughout its life cycle have almost not grown compared to the previous generation.

“Since its launch, sales of the Galaxy Z Fold6 have not grown much compared to the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold5. The purchasing power of the Z Fold6 has now decreased by 50% compared to the Z Fold5 in the same period last year, mainly due to many leaked information showing that the new generation of Z Fold will have many outstanding improvements,” said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, media representative of the CellphoneS system.

Compared to the previous generation, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 duo have almost no changes in appearance. The plus point is that the Galaxy Z Fold6 version has been adjusted to become more balanced in size. However, these improvements are considered not attractive enough to create breakthroughs in sales.

Currently, the number of Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 remaining on the market is relatively small. Most dealers only have certain color versions left. Some dealers have even stopped selling this product line.

“At present, the system only has a very limited quantity of Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The options are also limited in terms of color and capacity. It is expected that the device will be out of stock in the next 1-2 months,” said Ms. Dang Linh Phuong, Samsung product manager at Mobile World.
