Pig price today June 24: Lost the 70,000 VND/kg mark

Pig prices in some provinces in the Central and Southern regions continue to fall while those in the North remain unchanged.

In the North, the price of live pigs continued to "stand still" with the highest price of 69,000 VND in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Hung Yen and Thai Binh . The remaining localities had the same price of 68,000 VND/kg.

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs in Dak Lak decreased by VND 1,000 to VND 68,000/kg, and in Ninh Thuan it also decreased by VND 1,000 to VND 71,000/kg. The highest price of live pigs in the region is VND 72,000/kg, remaining in Lam Dong and Binh Thuan, while the remaining localities are commonly VND 68,000 - 69,000/kg.

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs decreased by 1,000 VND, in Binh Phuoc it was 72,000 VND/kg; and in An Giang and Bac Lieu it was 71,000 VND/kg. The highest price of live pigs in the region was 73,000 VND/kg, maintained in the livestock capital of Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau . Localities in the region generally ranged from 71,000 - 72,000 VND/kg, with Ben Tre being the lowest at 70,000 VND/kg.

The average price of live pigs nationwide is still 69,800 VND/kg, while the Chinese market continues to stand still at 51,600 VND/kg.

Due to the cooling of live hog prices, the prices of some meat products in the Ho Chi Minh City market have also decreased slightly. Some popular products include pig tails at VND230,000/kg, pork chops at VND113,000/kg, thigh meat at VND140,000/kg, pork belly at VND210,000/kg, ribless pork belly at VND250,000/kg, boneless pork leg at VND150,000/kg, lean pork at VND197,000/kg...
