Perhaps, we have all heard and known more than once about the plum blossom, ban flower, white pear flower seasons attracting visitors in Moc Chau (Son La), buckwheat flower in Tuyen Quang, purple phoenix flower, lavender flower in Lam Dong... And if Mang Den (Quang Ngai) is still mentioned as the "paradise" of cherry blossoms, then Chu Dang Ya ( Gia Lai ) has long been known in the hearts of people and tourists as the land of wild sunflowers.
Wild sunflowers on the Gia Lai plateau are associated with the brilliant flower festival season at the foot of Chu Dang Ya volcano (Bien Ho commune), creating a colorful, magical natural picture. Along with wild sunflowers, Gia Lai also leaves an impression on visitors through typical flower seasons such as coffee, yellow cassia, and galangal...
In spring, the coffee gardens bloom white on the hillsides. When the earth and sky enter autumn, rows of yellow cassia add to the fresh, pure beauty of nature. These days, on the slopes of Chu Dang Ya mountain, the bright red cassia flowers appear and disappear in the mist, reflecting on the clouds. Every time I look up and see the flower buds in the valley starting to bloom red, it is also the time when autumn touches the plateau.
Originally, the arrowroot plant was grown by farmers for its tubers, which were processed into flour to make vermicelli. In recent years, many people have come to take photos and enjoy the cool air and pristine natural scenery due to the gentle and proud beauty of this flower.

Mrs. Bui Ngoc Nga (61 years old, Dien Hong ward) shared: “Gia Lai has flower seasons that are no less than any other place, each season gathers and beautifies the beauty of nature. Every time the land and sky enter autumn, the canna flowers turn red in a corner of the sky. Rain and wind do not stop me from going to see the flowers, it gradually becomes a habit”.
As for Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong Thuy (65 years old, Cam Le ward, Da Nang city), the flower season in Gia Lai is always a meeting place for family affection. Her youth was spent here, with roads full of flowers in all four seasons. Every year she returns, she feels her heart filled with affection. Mrs. Thuy expressed: "I love every road, street corner, and flower season here. Gia Lai is not only beautiful in flowers, but also in the love and affection that people send in each blooming season."
A new suggestion on the seasonal flower tourism map in recent years is to see the wild flowers at Ta Ma stream (Vinh Thinh commune). The wild flowers here have a warm red-orange color, nestled among the green canopy of the old forest. Every February to the end of May, along the banks of Ta Ma stream, clusters of red and yellow flowers bloom, reflecting on the clear water.
For tourists, the journey to Ta Ma stream to see the blooming flowers is a very "touristy" experience. If connected into an experiential tour, immersing in the pristine natural space, combining trekking, taking photos of the flower season and learning about the local culture, Ta Ma forest flowers can become a unique tourism product of Vinh Thinh, adding to the diverse picture of Gia Lai's seasonal flower tourism.

Nowadays, tourism according to flower seasons, even leaf-falling seasons, and fruit seasons is gradually becoming a trend chosen by tourists. For many people, this form brings spiritual value and fresh, interesting emotions during and after the trip. More broadly, tourism according to flower seasons also brings added value to travel companies in general, more experience options for tourists in particular, as well as creating a highlight contributing to the socio-economic development of each countryside when people participate in exploiting and serving tourists with local unique tourism products.
