This adjustment shows that the domestic market is responding to the balance of supply and demand. After the harvest, the amount of goods in the population has decreased significantly, and there is not much inventory left. However, export demand has not really exploded, mainly from traditional markets, so prices have not had the motivation to increase sharply but remain stable.
Despite a slight decline in today’s trading session, the outlook for pepper prices in the future is still expected to remain positive. Pepper production in Cambodia is forecast to increase slightly, but overall supply remains limited.
Export demand is expected to increase towards the end of the year in preparation for the festive seasons, especially from major markets such as the US and Europe.
To maintain growth, the Vietnamese pepper industry needs to focus on improving quality, meeting strict standards on traceability and branding.
Pepper prices are currently stable at around 150,000 VND/kg, showing a balance between supply and demand. This is a positive signal after many years of strong fluctuations in pepper prices. With current advantages, domestic pepper prices can continue to maintain an upward trend in the last months of 2025.
