Gasoline prices increased sharply from 3:00 p.m. today, June 19

On June 19, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued urgent document No. 4443/BCT-TTTN to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline and oil prices.

In light of recent developments in world petroleum product prices and the implementation of petroleum price management according to the market mechanism under State management, in the adjustment period of June 12, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance will not make provisions and will not spend the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all products.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. on June 19, the maximum retail prices for petroleum products are applied as follows: E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND 20,631/liter (an increase of VND 1,169/liter compared to the previous period); RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND 21,244/liter (an increase of VND 1,277/liter compared to the previous period); 0.05S diesel is not higher than VND 19,156/liter (an increase of VND 1,456/liter compared to the previous period); kerosene is not higher than VND 18,923/liter (an increase of VND 1,412/liter compared to the previous period); 180CST 3.5S fuel oil is not higher than VND 17,643/kg (an increase of VND 1,182/kg compared to the previous period).

Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 25 adjustments, of which RON 95 gasoline has increased 14 times, decreased 11 times; diesel has increased 13 times, decreased 11 times and remained unchanged once.

The adjustment of retail gasoline prices is decided by key traders and distributors, but cannot be implemented earlier than 3:00 p.m. on June 19, 2025.

The time to apply the new base price will last until the next announcement period of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Enterprises will adjust prices in accordance with the provisions of the current Decrees and Circulars on the management of petroleum business and the use of the Price Stabilization Fund.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the implementation of regulations on ensuring petroleum supply, and strictly handle violations if detected.
