Gasoline prices fall after two consecutive increases

HNN.VN - At 3:00 p.m. on August 14, the domestic gasoline price was adjusted according to the cycle of the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade. In this adjustment session, gasoline prices decreased after 2 consecutive increases. In particular, the price of RON 95 gasoline fell below 20,000 VND/liter.

Gasoline and oil prices both decreased from 3:00 p.m. on August 14.

Specifically, the price of E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND19,354/liter (down VND254/liter compared to the current base price), lower than RON95-III gasoline by VND530/liter.

RON95-III gasoline is priced no higher than VND19,884/liter (down VND190/liter compared to the current base price). 0.05S diesel is no higher than VND18,077/liter (down VND723/liter compared to the current base price). Kerosene is no higher than VND18,020/liter (down VND640/liter compared to the current base price). 180CST 3.5S fuel oil is no higher than VND15,268/kg (down VND379/kg compared to the current base price).

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline - a biofuel mixed with 10% ethanol in mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot the sale of this gasoline in Ho Chi Minh City, while PVOIL will deploy it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the nationwide transition to green fuel, expected to start in 2026.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the world oil market in the past 7 days has been affected by many factors such as the US postponing the application of higher reciprocal taxes on China, and OPEC+ deciding to increase oil production in September.
