The event took place in a joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, and marking the first Vietnam Music Day (September 3, 2025).

Music - the mark of half a century after unification

Speaking at the program, Major General, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association emotionally emphasized: "In the glorious 80-year journey of the nation, the spring of 1975 was a special historical milestone, when the country was reunited. Since then, tens of thousands of songs have been born, reflecting national pride, the work of building and defending the Fatherland, and the aspiration to rise up in the new era."

He also recalled the moment the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory" (musician Pham Tuyen) resounded on April 30, 1975, opening a new era for Vietnamese music.

Over the past 50 years, many generations of musicians have, with sincere emotions, composed works praising the homeland, paying tribute to heroic martyrs, praising love and the desire for innovation.

From the voting results of the branches across the country, the Vietnam Musicians Association has selected 50 songs and 5 representative instrumental and musical works to honor. This is an occasion to affirm the great value of revolutionary music in the spiritual life of the nation.

A music night of proud melodies

The program "Homeland Melody" is directed by musician Nguyen Duc Trinh as the artistic director and general director, bringing together many famous artists such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Duc Long, Ngo Huong Diep, Minh Toi, Tung Lam, Trinh Phuong, Duong Duc, Hoang Anh, Nhat Huyen, Thu Thuy, Thu Ba...

The audience enjoyed songs that have been with the times: Melody of the Fatherland (Tran Tien), Flowers in Uncle Ho's Garden (Van Dung), Spring Melody (Cao Viet Bach, poem by Luu Trong Lu), Country (Pham Minh Tuan, poem by Ta Huu Yen), Love of the Red Land of the East (Tran Long An), Village Communal House Roof (Nguyen Cuong), Remembering Hanoi (Hoang Hiep), Milk Flower (Hong Dang), Fatherland Calls My Name (Dinh Trung Can, poem by Nguyen Phan Que Mai), As if Uncle Ho Was Here on the Day of Great Victory (Pham Tuyen)...

The musical space, both passionate, profound and majestic, brought the audience back to the heroic pages of history, while spreading faith and love for the homeland in the present.
