According to the latest announcement by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the CIVAMS facial recognition solution researched by CMC Technology Group has entered the top 12 in the world and top 1 in Vietnam.
The results were recorded according to the NIST report on the Face Recognition Technology Evaluation (FRTE) 1:1 Verification.
Surpassing 535 FaceID recognition solutions in the world and developed by large units in Vietnam sent to NIST, CIVAMS facial recognition solution researched by CMC Technology Group has entered the top 12 in the world. In Vietnam, CMC's facial recognition technology is ranked at the top of the list.
Facial recognition methods are being deployed.
FRTE 1:1 Verification is a program to measure and evaluate the quality of global facial recognition technology, conducted by NIST. Every month, NIST conducts an accuracy assessment of automatic facial recognition methods from leading technology companies in the world. The assessment is based on measuring the performance, accuracy, speed, storage capacity and memory consumption of facial recognition methods, then compiled into reports.
Dr. Dang Minh Tuan, Director of CMC ATI Technology Application Research Institute, said: “To achieve this result, we have overcome many technological challenges to create a difference in accuracy, recognition speed, especially the ability to quickly search with large data of 160 million faces. This is also a proof that, with high determination, combined with passion for technology, and a spirit of readiness to face challenges, Vietnam can absolutely achieve high rankings in the field of AI in particular and the field of high technology in general.”
CIVAMS solution is a product developed by CMC ATI Institute of Technology Application Research since 2019. This is a Make in Vietnam product with CMC ATI Institute completely mastering the core technology.
