Khau Dang village (Bang Thanh commune) is a place that contains a unique cultural treasure of the San Chi ethnic group in the northern communes of the province. The people here are always conscious of preserving the beauty of their ethnic group through daily activities.
Coming to Khau Dang at any time of the year, visitors can clearly see the ethnic identity through every aspect of life.

The women in the art troupe maintain regular practice, teaching their children the writing and weaving of their ethnic group, Ms. Hoang Thi Mong, Secretary of the Khau Dang village Party Cell, shared.
In Phu Thong commune, medicinal herbs and brocade are typical cultural features of the Red Dao people. Therefore, Thien An Cooperative, established by Ms. Ly Thi Quyen in 2015, has contributed to the development of regional cultural products and encouraged ethnic minority women to do business .
Ms. Ly Thi Quyen said: The cooperative focuses on producing unique products with distinctive cultural features of the Red Dao people, such as: herbal baths, brocade pillows, traditional costumes, etc. Thanks to the commercialization of traditional products, many people have learned more about the unique culture of the highland people, actively contributing to maintaining and preserving the cultural values of the Red Dao people.
In the Ba Be Lake area, women have chosen to promote traditional values through experiential tourism activities. Households in Nam Mau commune have expanded their tourism model with many types of services from food and accommodation to guiding visitors to visit tourist attractions on Ba Be Lake, exploring the unique cultural features in the daily life of the people.
The special feature of community tourism in Ba Be is the image of Tay girls playing Tinh guitar and singing Then to serve tourists. National cultural identity is being passed on to the younger generation. |
In recent times, to preserve and promote unique traditional cultural values, Women's Unions at all levels have had many good models and practices.
Among them, it is possible to mention, such as: Ban Cuon 2 Women's Association (Cho Don commune) has gathered and taught traditional costume embroidery to female members and students of the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in the area. Ban Ca Women's Association (Nghia Ta commune) has established a Pao Dung singing club, embroidering traditional costumes of the Dao Tien ethnic group, teaching the profession to women...
Many cultural experts say that highland women are the “soft power” that helps villages preserve and promote their identity in modern society. Amid the flow of integration, they quietly preserve traditions while bringing national identity into harmony with the new rhythm of life.
The cultural identity of ethnic minorities is passed down through generations, through the process of production and cultural activities. In many different ways, women in the highlands of Thai Nguyen province have been actively and proactively inheriting and developing traditional cultural values, joining hands to build an advanced culture imbued with national identity.
