According to the assessment of the Provincial Police Department, in recent times, in some areas, the situation of crime and law violations in some communes, wards, and border zones bordering Cambodia is still potentially complicated, especially related to illegal entry and exit, smuggling, storage, transportation, trading of prohibited goods, illegal sand transportation and exploitation, etc. Crimes against social order and drugs tend to increase, and activities are becoming more complicated.
To maintain the stability of security and order in the border area, creating favorable conditions for people on both sides to travel and trade, Chau Doc Ward Party Secretary Lam Quang Thi proposed: "The Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors should advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and trade, visit relatives, get medical examinations and treatment... Besides, maintaining peace , stability, friendly cooperation and development; comprehensively developing the socio-economy in the border area is also a viewpoint and motto to ensure security and order in the communes, wards and special border zones. In addition, it is necessary to build a core force in ethnic and religious groups; take care of social security; maintain friendly and cooperative relations between the two sides; have coordination regulations between the police of border communes and wards and increase the number of troops for key areas".
According to Ha Tien Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Luu Trung, the province needs to have a coordination plan between neighboring areas on the border to promote the effectiveness of coordination in fighting against all types of crimes, when the activities of these types of crimes have no administrative boundaries. In addition, the locality needs to closely coordinate with related sectors in handling, preventing and combating crimes effectively.
Major General Nguyen Van Han - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department requested: "Party Committees and People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones should pay attention to leading, directing and coordinating the implementation of resolutions, directives, conclusions and guiding documents of the Central Government in the fields of ensuring security and order, preventing and combating crimes. Localities need to continue to promote the implementation of the Secretariat's directive on strengthening the Party's leadership over the movement of the entire people to protect national security in the new situation; promote the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Police force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation".
Military forces, border guards, and customs direct forces to coordinate and support the police force in maintaining security and order; concentrate forces, means, and synchronously deploy measures to ensure political security; prevent, attack, and strongly suppress all types of crimes. Focus on implementing social and professional prevention measures in conjunction with improving the effectiveness of state management of security and order; proactively detect early and remotely complex potential security and order issues to promptly propose solutions and handle them thoroughly, not to be passive, surprised, and not to form hot spots. At the same time, effectively carry out patrol, control, and strictly manage key areas and subjects in border areas.
