“Thanks to the multifaceted support of the government, the Fatherland Front and local officials, I have a decent house and a stable job” - Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay in Thanh My A area, Cai Rang ward, respectfully mentioned the care and attention of the government and the Fatherland Front for her family. Not only Ms. Bay, since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has mobilized to build and repair 14 Great Unity houses; provided multifaceted support to help poor households and those in difficult circumstances stabilize their lives.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Rang Ward and representatives of sponsors presented gifts to students on the occasion of the new school year 2025-2026.

Receiving us in the Great Unity House, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay emotionally told us about her situation. She lives alone and her health is declining. For many years, she has relied on the love of relatives, neighbors, and the care and help of the government, the Fatherland Front, and local organizations. In 2025, Ms. Bay was considered for a Great Unity House and was introduced to work as a janitor for a business near her home. Thanks to that, she has a stable income.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang in Area 6, Cai Rang Ward, confided: “My family is near-poor. A few years ago, my husband had a traffic accident and the treatment was very expensive. In order to help my family stabilize their lives, the locality provided assistance in many ways, from building a Great Unity house to supporting my husband’s medical expenses and giving gifts so my children could go to school.”

According to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Rang Ward, from the beginning of the year, the locality reviewed the number of poor households, directed associations and organizations to plan to help union members, members and people in many forms: mobilizing participation in effective production models, supporting loans, donating Great Unity houses... From the beginning of 2025 to now, the ward has built and repaired 14 Great Unity houses, helping poor households have stable housing. On the occasion of Lunar New Year and holidays of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated to mobilize organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to support and organize gift giving to near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances... At the same time, local organizations managed 91 loan groups from the Social Policy Bank to support union members and members to borrow capital to invest in production and business. These practical solutions have helped many families stabilize their lives.

Mr. Truong Van Dam in area 3 Ba Lang, Cai Rang ward, emotionally said: “My family is in a difficult situation, we have no land to produce, we mainly work for hire to make a living. The old house is degraded, we cannot afford to rebuild it. In 2025, the Ward Front supported my family with 60 million VND to build a house. Before that, the locality also created conditions for us to borrow preferential loans to rent 3 hectares of land to grow crops, improving the economy .”

Ms. Ha Thi Anh Thu, a member of the ward's Women's Union, once faced many difficulties. Ms. Anh Thu said: "More than 2 years ago, my husband died in a traffic accident. I was the only one taking care of 2 school-age children, and our family's finances were very tight. The ward's Women's Union officials encouraged and supported me to borrow money to open a hair salon. Currently, I have an average income of about 6 million VND/month."

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025-2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated with socio -political organizations to organize the awarding of 150 gifts and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 95 million VND, from socialized sources. Bringing her grandchild to receive the gifts, Mrs. Tran Thi Hanh in area 6 emotionally said: “Ngoc's parents have separated, he lives with my husband and I. My family is also poor, I work for hire to raise him to study. On the occasion of the new school year, Ngoc received gifts including 400,000 VND in cash and 10 kg of rice. I used this money to buy new clothes so that he can go to school more neatly."

Ms. Ngo To Linh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Ward Women's Union, informed: "The work of mobilizing and supporting poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households has been carried out by the government, the Front and socio-political organizations of the ward with many positive results. In 2025, Cai Rang Ward still has 10 poor households. The Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee continues to negotiate with member organizations to assign sponsorship and assistance to poor households through building houses, supporting loans, introducing jobs... At the same time, pay attention to building and improving the quality of effective economic models, attracting union members, association members and people to participate, in order to increase income and improve living standards".
