Bien Hoa Pottery - From heritage to creative space

(DN) - From the alluvial soil along the Dong Nai River, Bien Hoa pottery was formed, quietly enduring like the spirit of the potters here. Through a long period of ups and downs, pottery is not only a livelihood but also the crystallization of earth, water, fire and talented hands, leaving its mark on the roofs, street corners and souls of many generations of Dong Nai people in particular.

This time, “Going a day on the road…” is a journey called: “Bien Hoa Pottery - From heritage to creative space”. The program will take the audience to Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts, the largest training center for ceramic artisans in the South. Here, pottery is not only preserved as a traditional craft, but also strongly “revived” in the spirit of creativity, from public art projects, applied design to cultural education . The school is like a “living museum”, where ancient Bien Hoa pottery does not sleep in memory, but is breathed new life through the hands and minds of the young generation.

In particular, the audience will understand more about the "uniqueness" of Bien Hoa pottery among many Vietnamese pottery lines, as well as the unique value that Bien Hoa pottery brings to the country's art and culture through the sharing of Master Dinh Cong Viet Khoi, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Pottery and Sculpture.
