At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), the listed gold price is 94.4-97.4 million VND/tael, unchanged from the closing price of yesterday's trading session. Thus, if buying gold bars at the peak price of 99.8 million VND on March 21, the buyer has now lost more than 5 million VND/tael.
The retail price of DOJI gold bars is currently listed at VND95.1 million/tael (buy) and VND98.6 million/tael (sell), down VND3.5 million/tael for buy and VND2.8 million/tael for sell, compared to the close of the previous trading session.
Bao Tin Minh Chau gold price is currently buying at 95.3 million VND/tael and selling at 97.6 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for buying and 200,000 VND/tael for selling, compared to the previous session.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, SJC gold is bought at 96 million VND/tael and sold at 97.5 million VND/tael. Thus, compared to the previous session, the gold price decreased by 200,000 VND/tael in buying price and remained unchanged in selling price.

World gold price today March 25, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 3,009.76 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.44% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,820 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 93.6 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.8 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell on a stronger dollar and Trump’s tariff stance. Gold prices fell as the dollar hit its highest level in more than two weeks, while investors reassessed US President Donald Trump’s more cautious stance on tariffs on trading partners.
Spot gold fell 0.4% to $3,010.33 an ounce at 11:12 a.m. (1512 GMT). U.S. gold futures fell 0.2% to $3,015.50.
“We’ve had back-to-back records and now the market is just consolidating those gains, which is being supported by a slightly stronger US dollar,” said Bart Melek, head of commodity strategy at TD Securities.
Gold, often seen as a hedge against geopolitical and economic uncertainty and typically thrives in a low-interest-rate environment, has hit 16 records this year and hit an all-time high of $3,057.21 last week.
The dollar (.DXY) rose 0.2% to its highest in more than two weeks, making gold more expensive for overseas buyers.
President Trump has hinted there will be flexibility on retaliatory tariffs that will take effect on April 2 and are expected to push up inflation and hamper economic growth. Chicago Federal Reserve President Austan Goolsbee and New York Fed President John Williams said on Friday that it would be too early to assess the economic impact of Trump's tariff actions.
Last week, the Fed kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged and forecast two 0.25% cuts this year. Investors are now awaiting Friday's US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data, the Fed's preferred inflation gauge.
Meanwhile, US and Russian officials held talks in Saudi Arabia aimed at making progress on a broad ceasefire in Ukraine, with Washington also aiming for a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea before reaching a broader deal.
“If the Saudi talks this week are successful and gold falls based on that, I would expect it to be bought back very quickly,” said Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
Elsewhere, spot silver fell 0.2% to $32.97 an ounce, platinum fell 0.5% to $970.47 and palladium fell 0.9% to $949.25.
