Hanoi: Plan to establish 85 commune and ward trade unions

The Hanoi City Labor Federation has reviewed and plans to establish 85 commune and ward trade unions with 5,876 grassroots trade unions and 459,265 union members.

According to the Hanoi City Labor Federation, the criteria for establishing a commune or ward trade union basically meet the conditions of having 1,500 union members and 10 or more grassroots trade unions or trade unions, and according to the actual situation of the locality, the necessary requirements for trade union activities.

Currently, there are 126 communes and wards in Hanoi. The Hanoi City Labor Federation has reviewed and plans to establish 85 commune and ward trade unions with 5,876 grassroots trade unions and 459,265 union members.

Specifically, 64 Commune and Ward Trade Unions were established in 64 qualified communes and wards.

8 Commune and ward trade unions according to the model: Select 1 Commune and ward trade union to manage the number of union members, grassroots trade unions, and grassroots trade unions of neighboring communes and wards that do not meet the conditions to establish a trade union.

13 Commune and ward trade unions according to the model: For communes and wards that do not meet the conditions to establish a trade union, select one commune or ward with a large number of union members or many grassroots trade unions to establish a commune or ward trade union to manage union members, grassroots trade unions, and grassroots trade unions of that commune or ward, and at the same time manage union members, grassroots trade unions, and grassroots trade unions of neighboring communes and wards that do not meet the conditions.

For both of the above models, when the commune or ward meets the conditions, a Trade Union will be established according to regulations.

The Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the Trade Union of the commune and ward are decided and appointed by the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Federation. The City Labor Federation will coordinate with the Party Committees of the communes and wards to unify the number of staff and civil servants who are full-time Trade Union officials of the commune and ward under the staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and ward, in which the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and ward concurrently Chairman of the Trade Union of the commune and ward is a Party Committee member.
