Hanoi is the golden star in my heart

Attending the event were Mr. Uong Chu Luu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Peace Committee; Mr. Dong Huy Cuong and delegates, representatives of officials, people of the capital and international friends.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Tran Thi Phuong shared that the contest received enthusiastic responses from diplomatic officials, foreign students studying in Hanoi and Vietnamese people abroad. Many contestants have rich Vietnamese vocabulary, use fluent and emotional Vietnamese writing style, expressing the author's special love for Hanoi.

“There are contestants who have studied Vietnamese for many years and are considered Vietnamese by their teachers and friends. Many contestants consider Hanoi as their second home. Although their entries are not long, they all show their attachment to the land and people of Hanoi, and their understanding of Hanoi’s history, culture, and cuisine,” Ms. Tran Thi Phuong affirmed.

In the end, from nearly 200 entries, the Jury selected 50 excellent entries for the final round, from which they selected 1 Special Prize, 2 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes and 10 Encouragement Prizes.

The Special Prize went to Prof. Dr. Ahn Kyong Hwan from Korea – Honorary Citizen of Hanoi with his entry “Hanoi is the golden star in my heart”. Two First Prizes were awarded to Mr. Saadi Salama, Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Head of the Diplomatic Mission in Vietnam with his entry “Another Hanoi” and Mei Leng, Chinese national with her entry “Hanoi in my heart”.

Festival of peace and friendship melodies "Echoes of the city of peace".

Also within the framework of the program, a festival of peace and friendship melodies took place with the theme "Echoes of the peaceful city".

This is a playground for non-professional artists from Associations and member organizations to meet, exchange, strengthen solidarity, consolidate and improve the foreign affairs of the Capital's people.

The unique music and dance performances, imbued with national identity in many forms, received enthusiastic support from international and domestic audiences.

Accordingly, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 Consolation prizes, 5 Third prizes, 3 Second prizes. Two First prizes went to the performances of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association and the Vietnam - Australia Friendship Association of Hanoi City and the Special Prize went to the UNESCO Association of Hanoi City.
