Ha Tinh urgently prepares for defense area drills

The Military Command of Ha Tinh province is focusing on leading, directing, and closely coordinating with agencies, localities, and units to deploy tasks serving the defense area exercise to ensure progress and quality.

These days, the Loc Ha District Military Command and departments and branches are urgently speeding up the preparation of documents related to the defense area exercise (DTKVPT). At the same time, at the combat base in HL commune, the system of trenches and fortifications is also urgently speeding up to ensure the proposed plan framework. Up to now, these two important tasks have completed 50% of the volume.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Chairman of Loc Ha District People's Committee informed: "After the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control assigned the task, the district-level steering committee promptly developed a plan and organized training for the forces according to each assigned field, position and responsibility. Thereby, helping each force grasp the content and order of operations when moving the locality into national defense status. In addition, we are also urgently drafting documents, speeding up the preparation work to achieve good results for the exercise".

Camouflage the trench system at the combat base

KQ hamlet in the border commune of Vu Quang district is the place identified by the Provincial Steering Committee for Border Defense and Security as the area where the "fighting enemy infiltration into the border" part will take place. This part of the military exercise has many difficult and complicated contents, related to the operational mechanism parts, so the unit assigned to be mainly responsible for this content, Huong Quang Border Guard Station, is urgently preparing.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thai Hung - Head of Huong Quang Border Guard Station said: "Based on the orders and instructions from above, up to now, we are focusing on building and perfecting the system of documents and plans to ensure the live troops fight against the enemy invading the border. Although there are still many difficulties, the unit is determined to actively coordinate and proactively do a good job of preparing for the live drill to achieve the set goals and requirements."

As the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Military Exercise, the Provincial Military Command is focusing on doing a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on tasks related to the exercise. The Provincial Military Command also focuses on urging, directing, and guiding departments, branches, and localities to actively build a system of documents and plans; proactively doing a good job of preparing forces, means, weapons, technical equipment, fortifications, and battlefields; organizing training and fostering for members so that they can properly perform their tasks and play their roles well.

The functional departments of the Provincial Military Command also conducted surveys and inspected the quantity, quality, and progress of construction of trenches, fortifications, and battlefields at the Exercise Command Center (in a mountainous commune of Thach Ha district) and the districts where the exercise was conducted, namely Cam Xuyen, Loc Ha, and Vu Quang. Thanks to that, this important work was carried out on schedule, ensuring the planning framework, safety, and secrecy.

Colonel Hoang Anh Tu - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Military Command of Ha Tinh province assessed: "The KVPT exercise command area of ​​4 district-level localities has been newly invested in construction. Up to now, the localities have completed 45 - 50% of the volume of trenches and fortifications, and are urgently camouflaging and arranging equipment for the exercise. During the preparation process, the localities have always received attention, direction and leadership from superiors and the coordination and support of other forces such as Division 324 (Military Region 4), Provincial Police, Border Guard, mass organizations...".

Up to this point, localities participating in the provincial-level DTKVPT are also well prepared in terms of funding, human resources, re-examination of reserve soldiers, technical equipment, land... to be ready to successfully carry out military exercises such as: fighting the enemy landing by sea (Cam Xuyen district); practicing martial law (Ha Tinh city); fighting the enemy invading the border (Vu Quang district); receiving human resources and ships (Loc Ha district)...

This thorough, complete and synchronous preparation will be the decisive factor in ensuring absolute safety of people, weapons and equipment; improving the overall quality and combat strength of the armed forces; raising the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, ready to defeat all invasion plots of hostile forces to protect the Fatherland in all circumstances and situations.

It is expected that the Ha Tinh province defense area exercise will take place in early August 2023.
