Hai Duong speeds up urban planning, development and classification progress

In the work of making general urban planning, the Provincial People's Committee requested Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town to urgently complete and adjust the general planning of the city and town according to the scope of administrative management, report, submit for appraisal and approval before December 31.

Nam Sach District People's Committee established a general urban planning for the new Nam Sach town (including Nam Hong commune), and completed approval before December 10.

The People's Committees of Kim Thanh and Cam Giang districts shall establish and complete the master plan for the towns of Phu Thai, Lai Cach and Cam Giang, and must complete and approve it before December 31.

In 2025, the Provincial People's Committee requested Nam Sach, Kim Thanh, Thanh Ha, Tu Ky, Ninh Giang, Gia Loc, and Thanh Mien districts to organize the preparation of general planning for new urban areas, with approval before August 31, 2025. Gia Loc district must complete the general planning project for Gia Loc town and approve it before March 30, 2025; Thanh Mien district must complete the general planning of Tu Cuong - Cao Thang urban area and approve it before April 30, 2025.

Regarding the work of establishing urban development programs and urban classification projects, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committee of Chi Linh City to establish, submit for appraisal and approval, with completion time before December 31, 2024.

Other localities in the province also divided the project into phases, setting a specific completion date in 2025.

This is an activity to speed up the implementation of the Urban Development Program and urban classification project in Hai Duong province.

By the end of September 2024, Hai Duong will have 16 urban areas; the urbanization rate of the whole province will reach about 40.7%. Meanwhile, the target by 2025 is that Hai Duong will have 28 urban areas, the urbanization rate by 2025 will reach over 45%, and by 2030 it will reach over 55%.
