Two PTIT valedictorians: Pioneering aspirations of the golden generation in the digital age

Over 80 years of formation and development, the Post and Telecommunications, Science and Technology sector has nurtured many generations of intellectuals, engineers and scientists dedicated to serving the Fatherland. Today, that flame continues to be passed on to the young generation of the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). Notable are the two valedictorians Bui Hoang Vinh (Information Technology) and Dinh Thi Diem Quynh (Multimedia Communications) - faces that are affirming the intelligence, courage and pioneering spirit of Vietnamese youth in the digital age.

Over the past 80 years, the Post and Telecommunications, Science and Technology sectors have gone through challenging and proud periods. From the early days of the arduous resistance war, generations of cadres, engineers and scientists have steadfastly stuck to their positions, both researching and producing to meet the requirements of communication and serving the front lines. That was the period when each telegram, each radio device, each simple technological achievement became a "special weapon", contributing significantly to the victory of the nation.

Entering a period of peace , innovation and integration, the industry continues to demonstrate its mettle through breakthrough developments: From telecommunications infrastructure covering the whole country, information technology explosion, to modern scientific and technological research programs, bringing Vietnam closer and closer to the regional and world level.

Bui Hoang Vinh: Creativity to solve practical problems

Valedictorian of the D2020 Information Technology course, Bui Hoang Vinh maintained excellent achievements throughout 4 years of study with 8/8 scholarships, of which 6 were excellent scholarships. For Bui Hoang Vinh, studying technology is not only about mastering theory but also about connecting with practice, knowing how to share and connect for comprehensive development.

Vinh was once in the Top 10 outstanding projects in the information technology industry in 2024 with an automatic database grading system - currently deployed at the Academy. He and his group of friends also built an online SQL practice platform, contributing to improving the quality of training.

Realizing the gap in practical knowledge about DevOps among students, Vinh and his friends founded the DevOps PTIT community, a place to share experiences and career orientation. For him, it is not only an opportunity for students to interact with technology but also a way for the founder himself to learn and grow.

After graduating, Vinh joined Viettel , continuing to challenge himself in large-scale projects. He said: "Each person needs to find his own identity, both solid in his expertise and daring to create and share. When we have the desire to serve, we will find a way to contribute."

After graduating, Bui Hoang Vinh is currently working at Viettel, where he continues to be challenged with large-scale projects.

Dinh Thi Diem Quynh: A versatile female leader in the digital age

As the valedictorian of the Economics block, majoring in Multimedia Communications, Dinh Thi Diem Quynh impressed with her excellent academic achievements: the highest GPA in the whole industry, 8 consecutive scholarships, and many prestigious scholarships from Deloitte, Hyundai Thanh Cong, Agribank...

Quynh believes: "Balance is not about dividing time in half, but about flexibly prioritizing each stage." Therefore, in addition to studying, Quynh also actively participates in Youth Union and Association activities, considering it an opportunity to practice leadership skills and develop herself.

In particular, Quynh participates in many projects applying artificial intelligence (AI) in communication as a project manager, combining technology and user understanding to design suitable products. She emphasized: "AI is the extended arm of communication. Those who do not grasp and apply AI will easily be left behind."

With her outstanding achievements, Quynh received the "Young Leader in the Digital Age" scholarship awarded by the Minister of Science and Technology. For her, leadership is "not standing above others, but knowing how to connect, inspire and take responsibility."

The story of the two valedictorians Bui Hoang Vinh and Dinh Thi Diem Quynh is a vivid proof of the message that Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized: Inheriting the past to open a new future. From the foundation of 80 years of tradition, they are pioneering in creating new values, bringing science, technology and digital media together to serve the country's development.

With intelligence, courage and aspiration to serve, the young generation like Vinh and Quynh are following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, writing new glorious pages for the industry in the digital age where science and technology are the key driving force for the sustainable development, independence and self-reliance of Vietnam.
