The Vietnam Post Museum is preserving thousands of documents, artifacts, images of the Post and Telecommunications industry, Information Technology and postage stamps recreating images of the information and communication industry in historical periods.
Vietnam Post Museum was established in December 1994, with a total area of over 500m2. It is preserving and displaying thousands of documents, artifacts, and images about Posts and Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Postage stamps.
The museum is designed in a continuous manner with 3 main themes: glorious achievements of the postal industry; History of formation; Construction and development of the postal industry and Vietnam Revolutionary Postage Stamps and Universal Postal Union Stamps.
In the period before 1945, Uncle Ho assigned the task of communication in the historical process of building and defending the country to comrades Nguyen Luong Bang to establish revolutionary communication lines from 1925, Nguyen Cong Thu to establish a secret communication line from Guangzhou (China) - Mong Cai - Hai Phong - Hanoi , in 1926-1930, Nguyen Van Loi from Guangzhou returned to Saigon to establish a communication base from 1926 and Do Thi Dinh, a female Party courier who was captured by the enemy in 1931 in Hanoi.
In the photo are methods of transporting mail and postal items in the early stages, postal transport by elephants in the Central and Central Highlands regions or by human power through rural roads.
The model recreates the activities of Vietnam Post officers and workers during the resistance war against French colonialism.
Some activities of Vietnam Post officers and workers in the early years of restoration, construction and serving the successful struggle for independence and national reunification in the years 1955 - 1975.
Many souvenirs such as the French-made underground cable of the first communication project in Vietnam or the Schnell-3W transceivers and improved 2E24-15W transmitters from the period 1955-1975 are preserved until now.
Technological equipment was improved and put into use since 1976, typically the T3-102 audio frequency generator used to transmit audio frequency to test machines, used in 1980, and the microchip of a digital switchboard part.

Some solar seals and badges were brought into space during the Vietnam - Soviet Union flight brought back by Hero Pham Tuan in 1980.
VNPT successively successfully launched two satellites VINASAT-1 (April 19, 2008) and VINASAT-2 (May 16, 2012) into orbit, effectively exploited the satellites, significantly contributing to the completion of the national communications infrastructure, improving network capacity, quality of information technology services, broadcasting and television, and at the same time demonstrating Vietnam's national sovereignty in space orbit.
Currently, the Postal Museum is preserving more than 600,000 Universal Postal Union (UPU) stamps with 264 stamp collections of countries and stamp-issuing organizations in the world. Each stamp is like a separate message, introducing the rich and vibrant diversity of economic, cultural and social life. With nearly 4,000 stamps, blocks of Vietnam Revolutionary Post stamps, including the first set of stamps specially issued on September 2, 1946 on the occasion of: The first anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945) and the founding day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945).
