Hundreds of schools threatened with bombs after opening ceremony

On September 3, Czech police said that hundreds of schools in the country had received bomb threats via email.

Police representatives confirmed that they are in close contact with the threatened schools to investigate the incident but are also trying to minimize the impact on the schools' operations.

The Czech National Center for Combating Terrorism, Extremism and Cybercrime is also working with the police to investigate the incident.

This is the second serious incident on the first official day of school for students after the opening ceremony of the new school year in this country, after a female elementary school student in the city of Domazlice attacked with a knife, injuring two classmates.

According to police, the attack occurred at Komenskeho 17 school in the city of Domazlice, Plzen region, when a student used a knife to attack classmates.

After receiving the notification, the police immediately deployed forces to the scene. The suspect was arrested and the situation was stabilized.

Police have not yet provided details about the identity of the suspect and the two injured students.
