Specifically, from January to now, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station has processed entry procedures for more than 141,000 Chinese tourists. Meanwhile, there are only more than 12,000 Vietnamese tourists.
According to a representative of the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station, after the full moon of the first lunar month, the number of Chinese visitors entering the country increases, with an average of about 2,000 people per day.
Thanh Nien 's records show that the Mong Cai international border gate has been crowded with people doing procedures in recent days, with Chinese tourists dominating.
Most Chinese visitors are elderly people.
After entering Vietnam, the above Chinese tourists were taken by travel companies to souvenir shops around Mong Cai International Border Gate.
Notably, these Chinese tourists were mostly elderly. They were taken into shops to be offered to buy handicrafts, jewelry, cigarettes, etc.
On average, about 2,000 Chinese tourists enter Vietnam every day.
Talking to Thanh Nien , a leader of Mong Cai City said that the locality has built 4 routes and 15 tourist spots recognized by the province. As a border city with many unique and cheap products, Mong Cai City has taken full advantage of the strengths of 14 markets and 4 commercial centers in the area to serve the shopping needs of tourists.
In addition, Mong Cai City has more than 200 accommodation service businesses with over 3,000 rooms, including nearly 30 hotels meeting 1-5 star standards.
After Lunar New Year, there were more than 140,000 Chinese visitors entering Vietnam.
