Israel's actions are a 'dangerous escalation that changes the game'

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the airstrike as a "war crime", stressing that both Israel and the US were responsible.

“This barbaric attack, carried out with bombs supplied by the US regime to the lawless Zionist regime... is a clear and undeniable war crime. Therefore, the US regime is also an accomplice along with the Zionist regime and must bear responsibility,” Mr. Kanaani stated.

The statements show that tensions between Iran, Israel and the US are escalating, with Iran frequently criticizing US military support for Israel in regional conflicts.

Israel's airstrikes on Lebanon are seen as part of a campaign to counter the Iran-backed Hezbollah group, amid rising regional violence.
