No more free, Nhon metro

TPO - Many people lined up at the train stations to buy tickets for the weekend experience. Many passengers said they planned to use this means of transport long-term because of its convenience and reasonable price.

Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro still attracts many passengers on weekends even though the free running days have ended.

After 15 days of free service, from August 23, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line (metro line 3) entered the toll-free commercial operation phase.

Potential customers of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line are students. The elevated section of this metro line, although only 8.5km long, passes through 11 universities, such as: Hanoi University of Industry, University of Commerce, Hanoi Pedagogical University, member schools of Hanoi National University; Academy of Journalism and Communication; University of Transport.

Recorded on the weekend morning (August 24), long lines of people continued to line up to buy tickets to experience the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line.

According to Tien Phong newspaper reporters, the train cars were almost full during morning rush hour.

On weekends, passengers are mostly young people and middle-aged people who take the opportunity to experience the journey with great enthusiasm and excitement. Currently, there are only about ten days left until the end of the month, so the operator only applies it to customers who buy single tickets and daily tickets. Buying monthly tickets allows passengers to use them from September 2024.

According to the current fare plan, a one-way ticket for the route is 8,000 VND/trip, 12,000 VND/trip for the entire route. A daily ticket costs 24,000 VND, is valid for the day and has no limit on the number of trips. People enjoy the journey with a travel time of 12 minutes for the entire route.

In the first 3 months, the opening time of the Nhon - Hanoi station metro line is 5:30 am; the closing time is 10 pm, with trains running every 10 minutes. In the following time, depending on passenger demand, it will be adjusted accordingly to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the line.

"Compared to the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train, we find the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station train more modern, smoother and faster. We will wait until monthly tickets are on sale to buy them because using the train is more convenient than the bus, avoiding long traffic jams," said a group of friends Hai Ha, Ngoc Linh, Tue An, and Phuong Anh.
