Mr. Dang Thanh Tuan (born in 1981, residing in village 4, Krong Ana commune) is one of the households that boldly invested in building a house to raise swiftlets. Mr. Tuan's family has a tradition of growing rice.
During the process of planting and caring for rice, he noticed that there were many swiftlets foraging around the Krong Ana area. Wanting to find a new direction of development so as not to "stick" to rice plants forever, more than 10 years ago, he searched the internet for knowledge and went to Khanh Hoa to learn the model of raising swiftlets for nests.

After careful research, he built a 2-storey house with a total area of about 200 m2 with an initial investment of about 1.6 billion VND. According to Mr. Tuan, Dak Lak with an agricultural and forestry area accounting for more than 86% is a suitable condition for swiftlets to develop. However, when implementing the model, the thing he worried most was that the swiftlets would not return. Therefore, he focused on research to build a house for swiftlets to ensure temperature, humidity, sound, and if there were any problems, they had to be resolved promptly.
After 5 years of raising, the bird's nests began to yield stable harvests, he continued to invest more than 2.4 billion VND to build a 2-storey house to raise birds, over 200 m2 wide. Currently, his bird's nest house has about 7,000 birds, each time harvesting an average of about 20 kg of bird's nests. Each year, his family harvests 50 - 60 kg of bird's nests, with the selling price of raw bird's nests being about 12 - 15 million VND/kg (depending on the time), earning over 1 billion VND.

Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Suong (born in 1983, living in the same village) also decided to invest her savings, plus the borrowed money of more than 1.6 billion VND to build a bird's nest house of more than 100 m2 . Her bird's nest house has about 2,000 - 3,000 birds, each harvest is about 5-7 kg of raw bird's nest (harvested 3 times a year).
In 2024, seeing that the bird's nest harvest was quite good, she established An Lac Bird's Nest Production - Trade - Service - Import-Export Company Limited, specializing in purchasing, processing, and producing all kinds of bird's nests and processed products from bird's nests.
In addition to her family's bird's nests, she also buys bird's nests from local households for production. The company's bird's nest products such as: raw bird's nests, clean bird's nests, sterilized pre-cooked bird's nest jars are favored by domestic customers and customers from Singapore, China... because of their quality, food hygiene and safety, and beautiful designs.
Currently, Ms. Suong's family's bird nest farming and production and trading of bird nest products bring high economic efficiency, creating regular jobs for 10 local workers with an income of 6 - 8 million VND/person/month.
