This is the second consecutive time the English strategist has helped the Three Lions reach the Euro final, when England previously lost to Italy in the penalty shootout in the Euro 2024 final three years ago. England have not won a major title since the 1966 World Cup. So Southgate stressed: "We have to win this title to gain the respect of the rest of the football world . I was at the World Cup and Euros as a fan before becoming England's head coach. Most of the big matches were broadcast by the TV stations, not England. They only showed the finals and big matches.
