Miss Bao Ngoc: "There is nothing that makes me regret"

As the first Vietnamese beauty to be crowned Miss Intercontinental, what changes does this achievement bring to Bao Ngoc in her life and thinking…?

- Being crowned Miss Intercontinental was a big milestone in my youth. I had more opportunities, participated in domestic and international activities, challenged myself and gained valuable experiences in my journey. As for my thinking, I think I have become more calm, have more objective views and be more calm when handling things.

During your reign as Miss Intercontinental 2022, according to Bao Ngoc, what are the "high notes" and "low notes" that you will always remember?

- What I remember during my journey as Miss Intercontinental is that no matter the "highs" or "lows", I have had people who have always been by my side, loving and accompanying me, and I am grateful for all of that.

Maybe in this journey, there are things that are not as I expected, but through each event I learn to look at things more lightly and calmly. For me, everything I experience has certain meanings and lessons, so there is nothing I regret about this journey.

There have been opinions that Miss Bao Ngoc’s reign as Miss Intercontinental is “dimer” than Miss Thuy Tien’s at Miss Grand International. Does Miss Bao Ngoc feel pressured when this is not the first time you have been put on the “scale” to compare with Miss Mai Phuong, Miss Thuy Tien…?

- For me, everyone has their own life and I have never thought that I have to follow the same path as someone else. Therefore, I have never felt pressured or discouraged. However, I will also look back at what I have not done and promote what I have done to improve myself every day.

Many people admire the independent spirit, strength, confidence and education level of Miss Bao Ngoc when she "fought" alone at Miss Intercontinental at the age of 21. Was it because her personality, emotional lifestyle and bravery were trained from a young age because her parents were doctors who were always busy?

- Actually, I was born and raised like everyone else. My life is the same, there will be ups and downs, there will be bright colors and dark colors. I am truly grateful for all the colors in life because they have created Bao Ngoc of today.

Regarding my parents' education , I think it's just a part of my current personality and sometimes I'm very fragile and weak, not always strong (laughs).

As one of the beauty queens with personality, frankness and not afraid to speak up whenever caught up in scandals or being "called out", are you afraid that this will make you unhappy, or even make some people "dislike" you?

- In life, there are things that we cannot control. Personally, I always consider those things as a lesson for myself to grow and improve. I will still focus on my own direction, work and study to develop more and more with my family, teammates and fans.

Miss Bao Ngoc: "I think everything depends on fate"

After her term as Miss Intercontinental, what does Miss Bao Ngoc think about her work?

- Actually, I always think about my work and education. After my term as Miss Intercontinental, I also intend to study higher and improve my Business Administration which I am studying. At the same time, I am still very passionate about the arts and will continue to pursue the modeling path.

Is it true that Miss Bao Ngoc plans to get married at the age of 27? Does Miss Ngoc have a boyfriend yet?

- About boyfriends, I think everything depends on fate, when it comes, it will come (laughs).

The Miss Intercontinental 2023 final will take place on December 15, 2023 (Egypt time). What is Miss Bao Ngoc's prediction about Ngoc Hang's ranking on this important competition day? Who do you think will be the new Miss Intercontinental?

- Up to now, I am still very proud of Ngoc Hang with the skills, style and energy that she brought to the Miss Intercontinental contest this year.

Regarding the selection of the new Miss Intercontinental 2023, it was really difficult for me and the jury because the general level of this year's contestants was very similar and all had their own outstanding aspects, so the jury also had to observe and consider carefully to find a worthy new Miss Intercontinental 2023. The final results of Miss Intercontinental 2023 will be revealed on December 15 (Egypt time).

Nguyen Le Bao Ngoc (born in 2001) won the first runner-up prize at Miss World Vietnam 2022. After that, Bao Ngoc became Vietnam's representative to compete at Miss Intercontinental 2022 and won the highest title in this contest.

She is a 4th-year student of the International Faculty at Ho Chi Minh City National University with an IELTS certificate of 8.0.

In 2023, Miss Bao Ngoc announced the good news that she received a scholarship to a university in Singapore.
