Complete Yen Nghia dike upgrade in 2025

With a total investment of 200 billion VND, Yen Nghia dike road will be expanded from 4m to 9m, of which 7m is for vehicle carriageway.


Regarding the progress of upgrading Yen Nghia dike, Mr. Dang Ngoc Thu, representative of the Ha Dong District Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: "Currently, the Ta Day dike road surface is only over 4m wide. With a total investment of 200 billion VND, the road will be expanded to 9m, of which 7m is for vehicle carriageway.

The project will also include a two-side sidewalk system and lighting. The goal is to help minimize traffic accidents. At the same time, ensure smooth, safe traffic, and synchronized connection with National Highway 6. The project will create favorable conditions for people to develop the economy and travel.

Yen Nghia dike road surface is severely damaged, causing great obstruction and impact on traffic.

According to Mr. Thu, the project is required to be completed before December 31, 2025. Because the construction route has many sections with traffic, traffic flow, warnings and environmental sanitation are being focused on.

Especially during the peak period from now until Tet, when traffic density increases, these measures become even more urgent. Construction teams are operating across the entire construction site. The contractor aims to achieve at least 10% of the work volume before Tet.

Previously, in early December 2024, Ha Dong district started the project to upgrade and expand the Ta Day dike with a length of 5.6km, passing through Yen Nghia and Dong Mai wards.

According to Giao thong Newspaper, Yen Nghia dike has seriously degraded, the road surface is heavily damaged, causing great obstruction and impact on traffic. After a number of landslides, the authorities had to ban vehicles from traveling on the Ta Day dike section.
