VIMC Youth Sports Festival 2025 - Healthy to contribute, united to develop

With the goal of improving physical fitness, solidarity, and strengthening exchanges and ties between Youth Union organizations in the VIMC system, this year's sports festival was organized on a large scale with two main competitions: football and pickleball - a modern sport appearing for the first time in the program.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the Sports Festival, on behalf of the Government Youth Union: Comrade Pham Van Dai, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Government Party Committee; Comrade Pham Quang Cuong, Member of the Government Youth Union Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Government Party Committee. On behalf of the Hai Phong City Youth Union: Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union. On behalf of VIMC: Pham Van Hai, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines; Comrade Dang Huy Cuong, Member of the Government Youth Union Executive Committee, Member of the Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Head of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee. Nearly 200 athletes came from affiliated Youth Unions.

DRAMA ON THE FIELD – STEADY FORM

In the football category, after two days of exciting, fierce and fair-play matches, the teams demonstrated a fiery fighting spirit, clear tactics and commendable team spirit. Final results:

Champion: FC Doan Cang Nghe Tinh - the team demonstrated stable playing style, scientific organization style and high determination.

Second prize: FC Doan Cang Hai Phong - the host left many beautiful impressions with technical and enthusiastic playing style.

Third prize: FC Youth Union VIMC Shipping and FC Youth Union VOSCO - two teams played with dedication, always maintaining the spirit of noble sportsmanship.

THE DEbut of Pickleball – A “Green” Sport for the Youth

Pickleball – a sport combining tennis, badminton and table tennis – has brought a new, attractive breeze and is suitable for all ages. Although it was the first time to compete, the athletes showed their agility, dexterity and good coordination:

Mixed doubles champion: Bui Duy Hai – Dinh Thi Hoang Ninh from Da Nang Port Youth Union – the pair stood out with their resilience and smart tactics.

Men's doubles champion: Le Quy Hoan - Nguyen Ngoc Tu from VIMC Logistics Youth Union - demonstrated solid skills and a strong, confident playing style.

The VIMC 2025 Youth Sports Festival is not only a sports playground, but also an opportunity for youth union members in the entire Corporation to promote the spirit of "Physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho", arousing the desire to contribute, building the image of a dynamic - brave - intelligent - responsible Youth Union cadre.

The sports festival has ended, but the spirit of solidarity - training - dedication continues to spread. VIMC youth are ready to "Go beyond the waves - Enter the new era".
