Previously, on June 19, the Department announced the exam scores of more than 98,000 candidates. With the admission score calculated as the sum of three subjects: Math, Literature, and English, the highest score achieved by most students was 17.75 points (more than 1,900, accounting for 2%), 1.5 points higher than last year.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 98,000 students taking the 10th grade entrance exam. In Literature, the highest score achieved by candidates is 7 with 9,182 students. In English, 1,707 candidates scored 10 points and 3,158 candidates scored 9.75 points. In addition, in English, 2 candidates scored only 0.25 points; 4 candidates scored 0.5 points; 13 candidates scored 0.75 points and 40 candidates scored 1 point...

Before the official announcement by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Mr. Huynh Thanh Phu - Principal of Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1) - predicted that the standard score to enter the school would be between 22 and 23.5 points.

The method for calculating admission scores to schools is usually as follows: Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Priority points (if any).

The test score is calculated on a scale from 0 to 10, with a score of 0.25. The maximum bonus points for priority beneficiaries is 3 points. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not score 0 in any test.

Based on the enrollment quota of each school, the number of applications and admission scores, the standard score will follow the principle that the second choice is higher than the first choice and the third choice is higher than the second choice.

Students' admission will be based on their three registered wishes. Schools are only allowed to accept students admitted to grade 10 according to the list approved by the Department of Education and Training.

The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place a month ago with three subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes) and Foreign Language (90 minutes). After successful candidates complete their enrollment, the Department can organize additional recruitment for schools that are still short of enrollment quotas.
