Today, the virtual filtering process of more than 7.6 million university admission wishes begins

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , the number of candidates registering for university and college admission in 2025 is 849,544 people; the number of registered admission wishes is a record 7,615,560 wishes. On average, each candidate registers 8.96 wishes.

Besides the general virtual filtering process of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities have 2 virtual filtering groups in the North and the South.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology continues to be assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over the Northern region's admission group (including 65 higher education institutions). The Southern virtual filtering group is led by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

The admission process (virtual filtering) aims to ensure that each candidate will only be admitted to a maximum of 1 wish (NV) in the list of NV candidates registered according to the principle of considering from NV1 to the last NV. This is to limit the situation of "virtual admission" and help schools implement the admission plan conveniently and accurately.

According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities across the country will begin announcing the first round of admission scores from 5:00 p.m. on August 20, with the deadline for announcement being before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

Specifically, on August 16, the units uploaded the database to the system and organized the selection.

The first virtual filtering will take place from 7am on August 17, results will be returned on the same day.

The following days, filter virtual 2 times a day until all virtual filters are used up.

At the decisive stage, training institutions will enter the admission scores (standard scores) and admission results into the system at 5:00 p.m. on August 20. At the same time, the units will review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results.

From the afternoon of August 20, universities can start announcing admission scores.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, schools will announce the benchmark scores and notify the first round of successful candidates before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
