Today, August 27, a group of 4,500 Indians, employees of billionaire Dilip Shanghvi's Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited, will arrive in Vietnam for tourism. The group is expected to be divided into 6-7 small groups, arriving in Vietnam in several batches. The group will stay in Hanoi for 4 days, then visit Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh).

This is considered one of the largest Indian tourist groups ever to visit Vietnam, far exceeding the usual size of 100 - 200 guests. The main attractions in the announced itinerary include famous places and landmarks in the three provinces and cities above. In Hanoi, the group is expected to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (outside), Hoa Lo Prison relic, and the Temple of Literature.

When arriving at Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), the group of tourists is not expected to stay overnight, only visiting the Bay on route 1 including Thien Cung Cave, Dau Go Cave, Cho Da Islet, Ba Hang Cave, Dinh Huong Islet, and Trong Mai Islet (Fighting Rooster). Finally, when the group arrives in Ninh Binh, they will visit Trang An Scenic Area. Regarding accommodation, the group of 4,500 tourists is expected to be evenly distributed into groups of 200-400 people, staying at 4-5 star hotels in Hanoi for 4 nights, including InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, Meliá Hanoi, Movenpick Living West Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi, Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha... Reference room rates range from 2.1 million to 4.4 million VND/night depending on the hotel and room class. Guests will mainly stay in Twin rooms. This hotel is also expected to organize gala nights for 6 groups of the 4,500-person group. Movenpick Living West Hanoi is expected to welcome 300 guests for 4 days, the entire lobby on the first floor is expected to be used for dining. Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha is expected to welcome 800 guests divided into two groups. The first group will last from August 27 to August 30 and the second group will last from August 31 to September 1. During the trip to Ninh Binh and Ha Long, the group is not expected to stay overnight at the accommodation facilities, but the system of 4-5 star hotels in these two areas has been mobilized and prepared to serve the needs of tourists. Regarding cuisine , the issue of food and drink is given special attention due to specific cultural and religious requirements. The hotels welcoming the group have prepared a rich menu with traditional Indian, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Some hotels have hired their own chefs specializing in Indian cuisine. The signature dishes expected to be served include naan bread, tandoori chicken, tikka masala, chicken biryani, butter chicken stew, curry, chutney, masala butter chicken, traditional Indian chai tea. Some Vietnamese dishes such as pho, fish noodles, fish cakes and desserts made from green rice from Vong village are also introduced to visitors.

In Ninh Binh, Trang An restaurant was chosen to serve the group's cuisine. However, the guests will not eat Ninh Binh mountain goat specialties; instead, the restaurant will serve mainly pure Indian dishes. With an unprecedented number of guests, localities, hotels, restaurants... have also made special preparations for this tourism development opportunity. Accordingly, each group of 30 - 35 guests needs at least 3 guides who know Hindu. Explanation boards at some famous tourist attractions are also translated into Hindu to serve tourists. In addition, local businesses are also instructed to improve service quality. Up to now, agencies, departments, tourism businesses, tourist areas and accommodation facilities are ready to welcome guests.
