Scots English's "My Vietnam" contest attracted more than 1,000 students nationwide to compete in English presentations about national culture and history.
"My Vietnam 2023" was deployed across the Scots English International English System in 10 provinces and cities. In three months, the competition attracted more than 1,000 contestants, operated more than 80 classes, and 900 young guides participated in field trips and practical experiences at historical sites.
A representative of Scots English said that the unit follows the training model "Putting students at the center of all teaching activities". In addition to focusing on helping children improve their English skills with 100% foreign teachers, the center wants to equip students with scientific and social skills and knowledge.
Therefore, Scots English organizes the "My Vietnam" contest to help students improve their English skills, at the same time, foster love for the culture, national history and skills of a 21st century citizen.
"Children can confidently use foreign languages to communicate, learn with the world and use language to proudly tell the world about Vietnam. That is also the meaning of the My Vietnam program," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hai - General Director of Scots English.

Scots English chooses cultural and historical topics to foster in candidates a love for their homeland and country. Through this, children have the opportunity to learn and cultivate skills to develop their qualities and abilities.
The organizers of My Vietnam designed three challenging stages, including: Lifting anchor - Overcoming waves - Conquering. In the first two stages, contestants accumulate knowledge through classes and practical field trips. Finally, they perform an English presentation based on previous learning experiences.
Surpassing more than 1,000 contestants from all over the provinces, 15 outstanding young people were present at the Final round, held at Star Galaxy Event Center - Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The Top 15 gave a presentation in English with the theme " Growing in your own home country ".

In the Kids 2 competition, contestant Bui Vu Tram Anh impressed the judges when she took viewers to explore the tourist city of Da Nang, famous places, and enjoy special dishes through a confident and lively performance. At the end of the competition, Tram Anh sang the song "Hello Vietnam" with the desire to introduce Vietnam to friends around the world.
Contestant Nguyen Ha My (Kids 1 category) also had a highly appreciated performance when she conveyed a positive message about forests, calling on everyone to join hands to protect nature and the environment through an English presentation about a trip to explore Cuc Phuong forest.

Actress Lan Phuong - a member of the jury commented that the top 15 had performed excellently. Despite their young age, they were very confident, had good English skills and were eager to learn. This is also the foundation of a global citizen of the 21st century.
"I firmly believe that you will continue to break through and reap even more success in the future," the actress added.
Mr. Caleb Rorabacher - Director of Research & Development of Scots English Training Program also commented that presenting and handling situations on a crowded stage in another language is very difficult. However, the candidates confidently performed their test. This is a wonderful thing and a long journey of effort and passion. That is also the meaning that Scots English is aiming for.

In the end, the organizers awarded three first prizes, including a three-day, two-night family trip worth 30 million VND in Phu Quoc. Each of the six second prize winners received a four-day, three-night vacation voucher worth 15 million VND in Quy Nhon. The program included six third prizes, each receiving a three-day, two-night vacation voucher worth 10 million VND in Da Nang.
In the future, Scots English will continue to organize other playgrounds and competitions to inspire learning and create more opportunities for students to practice and develop.
