On September 4, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province approved the project document to increase income for poor and disadvantaged disabled people in Cam Chinh and Cam Nghia communes (Cam Lo district) through cattle breeding activities sponsored by the Global Civic Sharing (GCS) organization.
The project's objective is to increase income for disadvantaged families of people with disabilities in Cam Chinh and Cam Nghia communes through cattle raising. Of these, 45 households were given loans of 16.6 million VND/household to buy cows and receive training in financial management; 150 households were provided with capital to repair cow barns. The total capital for the project is over 1.255 billion VND.
Of which, refundable aid capital is 747 million VND spent on loans for 45 households to buy cows; non-refundable aid capital is more than 508 million VND used for scientific and technical training, providing documents and techniques for the project and supporting barn repair. Counterpart capital is arranged by households through the preparation of barns and grass seeds.
The project implementation period is 36 months from the date of project approval. The project owner is the Cam Lo District Farmers' Association, responsible for managing and implementing the aid.
