On October 15, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Dak Nong province said that as of October 10, the province recorded 3,825 cases of pink eye.
The number of infected cases is mainly students with 3,048/3,825 cases, accounting for nearly 80%. Currently, the 2 clusters of pink eye cases at Le Thi Hong Gam Primary School and Dak Mam Secondary School (both located in Krong No District) have been controlled, with no new cases recorded.

In order to control and contain the epidemic, Dak Nong Provincial CDC recommends that the Medical Centers of districts and Gia Nghia City continue to closely monitor the situation of pink eye disease in the locality; promptly detect and thoroughly handle pink eye disease outbreaks, not allowing the epidemic to spread and prolong; advise the People's Committees of districts and Gia Nghia City to strengthen direction and strongly implement communication activities, monitor and handle cases and outbreaks; prepare materials, chemicals and equipment to serve the investigation and handling of pink eye disease outbreaks in the management area and comply with the regime of reporting infectious diseases, sharing accurate and timely information.
For Dak Nong General Hospital and district-level medical facilities, it is necessary to organize well the examination, detection, consultation, treatment and ensure the control of hospital infections in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health . Update treatment regimens, actively carry out medical examination, treatment, consultation, and referral according to regulations; minimize serious complications related to pink eye; comply with the infectious disease reporting regime according to regulations and share accurate and timely information.
