Meeting of the Steering Committee of the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities

On January 26, the Steering Committee for the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024 held a meeting to deploy preparations for the Congress. Comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

Accordingly, the Congress of Ethnic Minorities is expected to be held for 2 days in Buon Ma Thuot city in the fourth quarter of 2024. The Congress aims to summarize and evaluate the achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and new rural construction in the period of 2019-2024. At the same time, affirm and recognize the great contributions of ethnic minorities in the revolutionary struggle, in the cause of innovation, construction, protection of the Fatherland and international integration; strengthen the great national unity bloc, unify the will to act, consolidate the belief and create consensus of ethnic minorities in the leadership of the Party and State. This is also an opportunity to honor, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities in the period of innovation, integration and national development in the period of 2019-2024, practically achieving achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, the 18th Provincial Party Congress, towards the 14th National Party Congress, term 2025-2030; celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of the province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024) and political and historical events of the country and the province.

The meeting approved the Summary Report on the progress of preparations for the Congress to date; at the same time discussed and commented on the Draft Plan for organizing the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Dak Lak Province in 2024; expected allocation of Delegates; expected assignment of members of the Steering Committee and expected members of the Organizing Committee and the Congress Organizing Subcommittees.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee emphasized that this is an important event of the province, an opportunity to strengthen the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups in Dak Lak province. It is proposed that the standing agency of the Steering Committee, based on the comments of the Steering Committee members, complete the documents and promptly issue them for implementation. In particular, focus on directing and guiding units to organize the district-level Congresses to ensure progress; proactively review and plan the location of the Provincial Congress; advise the Steering Committee on the plan to mobilize socialized funding to support the organization of the Congress; develop a propaganda plan before, during and after the Congress; coordinate with relevant organizations and unions to organize activities to respond to, accompany, and enhance the spread of the Congress...
