The ward has implemented many solutions to reduce waste, handle landslides, and preserve the environmental landscape. At the same time, it focuses on developing the night-time economy , expanding tourism space to diversify the experience for visitors. In the vision to 2030, Mui Ne strives to become a national-level destination, where many large-scale cultural, sports and entertainment events take place, contributing to affirming the position of the "tourism heart" of the province.

If Mui Ne is considered the "Resort Capital", Phu Thuy, with its central location in the coastal region, plays the role of a trading hub and an important commercial and service center. After expanding its boundaries, the ward quickly became a new driving force for development in the area. Secretary of Phu Thuy Ward Party Committee Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan said: The whole ward currently has more than 6,200 enterprises and business households, along with over 10,000 commercial - service - handicraft establishments. Diverse industries from fish sauce production, vermicelli, pho, household goods, advertising to accommodation, resorts... have created pillars to promote growth, solve jobs and increase income for the people.

Phu Thuy focuses on developing tourism in the overall national tourist area, with a system of restaurants, hotels, and accommodation services developing rapidly, contributing to the economic restructuring. Many unique products are exploited such as: resorts, health care, visiting relics - scenic spots (Lau Ong Hoang, Po Sah Inư tower), experiencing craft villages and local cuisine, creating a unique brand linking culture with the economy. The locality also mobilizes resources to invest in modern infrastructure: upgrading Thu Khoa Huan road, building a flooded ecological park, coastal roads and urban tourism connection axes.
