Huynh Nhu is injured and needs to rehabilitate with a doctor before the 2023 Women's World Cup.

Striker Huynh Nhu suffered an injury and had to use a wheelchair when leaving Poland with the Vietnamese women's team to return to Germany.

The Vietnamese women's team left the airport to return to Germany on June 20 to continue training in preparation for the 2023 World Cup finals.

Striker Huynh Nhu had to travel in a wheelchair due to an injury sustained in the 1-2 loss to U23 Poland the day before. After arriving in Germany, the Tra Vinh -born striker had an MRI scan performed by the team doctor in collaboration with the Eintracht Frankfurt medical team to check for an ankle injury.

As a result, the striker was not seriously injured, but needed several weeks of rehabilitation with doctors before returning to the field.

Thus, Huynh Nhu cannot participate in the friendly match between the Vietnamese team and the German women's national team on June 24. The 31-year-old striker's ability to play in the 2023 World Cup finals is still uncertain because there is only one month left for the tournament.

Huynh Nhu is the number one star of Vietnamese women's football today. She is the record scorer for the Vietnamese women's team with 67 goals in 72 appearances. The striker born in 1991 is expected to be the driving force for the Vietnamese women's team to compete well in the 2023 World Cup finals in July.

On June 21, the Vietnamese women's team returned to the training ground to prepare for the match against Germany. In the morning, the coaching staff divided the players into two groups.

The starting group in the friendly match with U23 Poland were arranged to do light recovery training. The remaining group practiced pressing and speed exercises to maintain their readiness for the next match.

In the afternoon, coach Mai Duc Chung gave his students more practice in tactics to deal with strong opponents like the German women's team.

Yesterday was also Coach Mai Duc Chung's birthday. Therefore, before starting the training session, the team members lined up together to form the words "June 21" to take a commemorative photo, wishing the Hanoi coach a happy birthday.

On this occasion, Coach Mai Duc Chung shared his memories and feelings with the team members, and also hoped that his students would continue to unite and strive for the upcoming important goals.

According to plan, after finishing the training trip in Germany, the Vietnamese women's team will fly straight to New Zealand to participate in the 2023 World Cup finals. In the group stage, coach Mai Duc Chung's team will meet the US (July 22), Portugal (July 27) and the Netherlands (August 1).
