On the opportunity side, AI can help synthesize and analyze data more quickly, saving journalists time and effort in the process of researching and producing news and articles.
On the other hand, successful implementation of AI in press units will help personalize content to suit the interests and needs of each reader, thereby increasing the interactivity and attractiveness of press products.
In fact, recently, many domestic press agencies have researched and tested the application of AI in the production of multi-platform press products, reaching readers and bringing positive results.
However, the challenges that AI brings are not small. Typically, the creation and dissemination of fake news with detailed and fluent content, making it difficult for readers to recognize that it is fake news.
Additionally, deep-fake technology uses AI to create fake videos and images, in which viewers may see images or videos of completely unreal events or characters. This increases the potential for misinformation to spread through visual media.

The presentations, comments and discussions within the framework of the workshop focused on suggesting and clarifying a number of issues: How artificial intelligence AI is changing the way news is produced and how it affects the creativity and objectivity of the press in the world as well as in Vietnam; how the press can take advantage of AI while still maintaining professional ethics and information integrity.

Most opinions at the workshop agreed that the application of artificial intelligence in journalism is a trend that brings many benefits. However, AI is created by humans and is taught to absorb, synthesize and analyze data information provided by humans. Because AI has no political sensitivity, no ideals, no humanity, no social responsibility and no journalistic ethics.

Therefore, to master and use digital tools in general and AI application software in particular, every Vietnamese journalist must cultivate the capacity and qualities of a revolutionary journalist. In addition, journalists must always learn, discuss, and experiment to master technology, not let technology lead and master people.
Official press agencies must be proactive and make appropriate investments in technology to avoid falling behind, contributing to the integration and sustainable development of Vietnamese journalism in the 4.0 era, while fulfilling their social responsibilities.
The workshop is a meaningful activity to improve the professional qualifications of members - journalists, aiming to master AI technology and create journalistic products according to the general ethical principles of the profession, as well as the context of Vietnamese journalism.
