Screening for active detection of latent tuberculosis in Tam Diep city

On October 19, Ninh Binh Lung Hospital coordinated with the Medical Center and Tam Diep City Health Department to organize screening for active detection of tuberculosis, latent tuberculosis and lung diseases for the elderly in the communes and wards of Bac Son, Dong Son and Yen Binh.

At the commune and ward health stations, doctors, nurses, and technicians of Ninh Binh Lung Hospital organize examinations and interviews; take chest X-rays; prescribe Xpert tests for cases with clinical symptoms of suspected tuberculosis and lesions suspected of tuberculosis on X-ray films; perform Mantoux tests to diagnose latent tuberculosis for all people in contact with patients with sensitive pulmonary tuberculosis and other high-risk people; measure respiratory function for cases suspected of asthma, COPD (if any)...

Through community examinations, Ninh Binh Lung Hospital has proactively detected tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis patients, screened for lung diseases, and contributed to improving people's health.
