Previously, on the evening of July 31, an Australian tourist accidentally dropped his engagement ring at Cua Dai beach (Hoi An Dong ward). With the desire to help the tourist find the lost item, Mr. Phan Thanh Trinh and Mr. Pham Nhu Dong proactively contacted and brought specialized metal detectors to the beach area to search.
After many hours of perseverance, the two men discovered the ring deep under the sand, near the sea's edge and returned it to its owner. Upon receiving the ring, the Australian tourist burst into tears with emotion. The tourist said the ring was worth more than 2,000 USD (more than 52 million VND) and had special meaning to his family.
On July 25, Mr. Phan Thanh Trinh and his colleagues also helped two other tourists find two Iphone 14Pro and Iphone 15 phones that were lost while swimming at My Khe beach, Da Nang city.
According to the Management Board, after social networks posted a lot of positive information about the good deeds of the men, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, praised and encouraged the responsible and humane working spirit of the Management Board's staff, and said that the Department's leaders will have appropriate forms of rewards.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Sea Tourism Order Management Team supported the search for 31 cases of lost property and returned them to the losers.
