On September 15, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches announced that from tomorrow (September 16), sightseeing and picnic routes at Son Tra Peninsula will officially reopen after a temporary closure to fix landslides caused by heavy rains in October 2022.
Specifically, the routes put into operation include: Tien Sa - Suoi Om - Dinh Ban Co; Dinh Ban Co - Bai Bac; Bai Bac intersection - Cay Da heritage.

Visiting hours are from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm (from March to the end of September) and 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (from October to the end of February of the following year).
Operations will be suspended during severe weather warnings.
How to travel to Son Tra peninsula?
Means of transport on the Tien Sa - Suoi Om - Dinh Ban Co route are sports bicycles, mountain bikes, motorbikes (except scooters) and walking. The Dinh Ban Co - Bai Bac route is only one-way from Dinh Ban Co down, not applicable for scooters and cars with more than 24 seats. The Bai Bac - Cay Da Heritage route is only for pedestrians.
Individual guests will be given a green card and must return it on the same day; group guests and operating businesses need to notify the Management Board in advance about the time, route, and number of guests.
The Management Board also affirmed that it will absolutely ban spontaneous trekking routes to Huc Lo, Mui Nghe, Bai Da Den to ensure safety and protect the landscape. Visitors must strictly follow the prescribed time and route; not encroach on restricted or defense areas; not litter, cut down trees, or set fires; only use flycams, film, or take photos in permitted areas and with the consent of the authorities.
According to the Management Board, reopening Son Tra tour routes not only helps tourists continue to explore the natural beauty but also contributes to promoting sustainable eco-tourism development in Da Nang.
Son Tra Peninsula (in Son Tra Ward) is considered the "green lung", "precious gem" of Da Nang City. It has an area of over 4,400 hectares, with a diverse flora and fauna ecosystem, and is an ideal tourist destination for visitors to the coastal city of Da Nang.
