Commencement of the project to restore and embellish the relic of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee base

On the morning of September 26, at Duyen Hai ward, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony (phase I) of the project: Restoration and embellishment of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee base. The project welcomes the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrades: Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the XVth term of Vinh Long province; Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Lam Minh Dang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province.

Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave the order to start the project.

The project aims to renovate, embellish, preserve and promote the traditional values of historical relics; serve the political tasks, the needs of studying and researching the heroic revolutionary historical tradition of the Party Committee and the people of the province, contributing to educating the tradition and revolutionary ideals for the young generation.

The project has a total investment of 140 billion VND, on an area of 10.2 hectares, divided into 2 phases. In phase 1, construction of items such as: relic site gate; guardhouse; relic nameplate; cipher office; hall; bomb shelter; document-typing shed... is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026.

Giving the groundbreaking order, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee Base has become a "red address" in terms of history, culture and revolutionary tradition. The restoration and embellishment of the relic aims to meet the requirements of serving the political tasks, wishes and aspirations of the Party Committee, government and people of Tra Vinh - Vinh Long province; at the same time, it is an important condition to serve research, study and education of patriotic traditions, especially for the young generation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien requested the Provincial Civil and Industrial Project Management Board (investor) to be closely and resolutely in directing, regularly urging and inspecting construction units; closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and local authorities to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. The contractor mobilizes maximum resources, machinery, equipment and construction materials to speed up progress; comply with requirements on quality, labor safety, fire prevention and fighting and ensure the lives and activities of people in the area.
