On August 22, the Project Management Board of Construction Investment in District 7 (HCMC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the embankment of Tran Xuan Soan Street (in Tan Hung Ward).

Mr. Tran Minh Dien, Director of the District 7 Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the project starts from the left bank of Ong Lon canal (Rach Ong bridge area) and ends on the left bank of Te canal, connecting with the embankment of the Nguyen Khoi bridge and road construction project.
Construction project of prestressed reinforced concrete embankment, length of more than 500m; construction of corridor behind embankment, renovation of existing green park at the new embankment location and installation of lighting system along the embankment.

The total estimated budget is 75.3 billion VND from the state budget. Of which, construction costs are 60.4 billion VND, other basic construction costs and contingency are 14.9 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in 130 days.

The project to build the embankment of Tran Xuan Soan Street aims to ensure the safety of the embankment structure and infrastructure along the embankment, prevent landslides, and gradually complete the infrastructure according to the planning as well as in line with the general development orientation of Ho Chi Minh City.
In particular, the project aims to contribute to flood prevention for Tran Xuan Soan street.
