Launching activities to honor and show gratitude to generations of journalists

(NB&CL) These days, the main activity of the local Journalists Associations is the work towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day... Journalists Associations at all levels have been preparing to embark on each activity, making efforts to implement it effectively and practically, especially programs aimed at honoring and expressing gratitude to generations of journalists, notably the Khanh Hoa Journalists Association and the Quang Tri Journalists Association.

Encourage, motivate and praise generations of journalists

Implementing the policy of the Vietnam Journalists Association in 2025, local Journalists Associations at all levels have planned to carry out many exciting activities. Khanh Hoa Journalists Association, with its plan to organize the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day this year, aims to organize commemorative activities that are solemn, economical, practical, effective, and ensure safety conditions with many appropriate contents and forms, with focus and key points, creating a positive propaganda effect, highlighting the position and role of the press in social life...

Highlights include the 2025 Khanh Hoa Press Awards Ceremony and a meeting to honor outstanding journalists; Visiting and congratulating the provincial press agencies, representative offices of central and Ho Chi Minh City press agencies in the province; The 5th Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Building Press Award - 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial Press Award 2025; Workshop "100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press promoting the mission and role of the press in the renovation period, promoting the development of Khanh Hoa province to become a centrally-run city"; organizing journeys to the source, gratitude activities; Training and fostering to improve the quality of press and media human resources...

Sharing about this series of activities, Mr. Doan Minh Long - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Journalists Association said: At this time, the preparation work has been started, the Executive Committee has assigned the focal points to connect, coordinate and organize the implementation.

Through commemorative activities to review the glorious tradition, important and great contributions, noble mission of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press in the struggle for national independence, national unification, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. Affirming the deep care and attention of the Party and State in general, the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Hoa province in particular; the companionship, support, trust and expectations of the People for the development of the Vietnam revolutionary press...

“In addition, we organize activities and events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press; evaluate, recognize and commend the results and achievements of the past 100 years of the revolutionary press. From there, we determine the vision, set out the direction and tasks for the press of Khanh Hoa province in the new period. Encourage, motivate, commend, honor and show gratitude to generations of journalists and press agencies in the province with outstanding achievements; foster and educate pride and love for the profession for the team of journalists in the province, contributing to building a team of journalists in Khanh Hoa province that is increasingly steadfast in political mettle, professional expertise, professional ethics, and well implementing the requirement of “Building a professional, humane and modern press and media” in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress” - Mr. Doan Minh Long emphasized.

Festival - Gratitude Day

Along with that honoring movement, the Quang Tri Journalists Association is also urgently organizing "Quang Tri Press Festival". Mr. Hoang Ngoc Sy - Permanent Vice President of the Quang Tri Journalists Association said that, based on Plan No. 155-KH/TU dated June 11, 2024 of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; Plan No. 186/KH-UBND dated September 27, 2024 of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on "Organizing activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025", the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Vietnam Press Museum to organize the event "Quang Tri Press Festival" and specific activities are being carried out. This program will include contents such as the exhibition "100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press and pride in Quang Tri Press"; Seminar "Press accompanies the homeland and country"; Exchange of generations of journalists.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Sy added: “This is an important political event for journalists and the press public of Quang Tri province to be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The program will be held solemnly to propagate, introduce and widely promote the outstanding achievements of Vietnam Revolutionary Press in the process of formation and development. And this is also the highlight in the series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day at the Journalists Association clusters and press agencies in the Central region”.

Some newspaper covers are expected to be displayed at the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press and the pride of Quang Tri Press.
