Gestures. Postures. And those joyful eyes reveal how important the person receiving the flowers is. Even in many parks, occasionally you can see women in long dresses taking pictures of each other, talking and laughing happily. A vague conversation without beginning or end is enough to guess that the women have just gone to meet and socialize on October 20th.

Women are the origin of love. Humans are born from women, grow up under the care of women, and the character of a person is also formed and cultivated by women…
Every moment spent with the women in our lives is a treasure that we should cherish and keep. Giving flowers is a way to express it.
If anyone asks, “What does a woman’s happiness depend on?”, I, a woman, believe that a woman’s happiness is being able to do what she wants, being able to decide for herself and choose her own life.
I believe, many people have read the old story about the knight Gawain, he accepted to marry the witch to save his best friend King Arthur. When he was faced with the choice of living with the witch half the time during the day or at night and the other half with the beauty.
Without hesitation, the knight Gawain replied, how I live will be up to you to decide. And a clear voice rang out, you will choose both day and night, the beautiful woman, because he truly knows how to respect you. The happy ending is that the knight gets to live full time with the beautiful woman, and that is a gift for those who know how to respect women.
The story also carries another philosophical meaning: women's desire for equality, respect, love and self-determination in their lives. Women are only truly happy when they live in a civilized, progressive environment, are respected, are able to express their inner strength and develop themselves.
It is undeniable that women in the 4.0 era are increasingly excelling in many fields. Most recently and very closely, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Mong Diep, a senior lecturer at Quy Nhon University, was honored by Stanford University (USA) as one of the most influential scientists in the world in 2025.
How can we not be proud when such women contribute to inspiring the young generation in their journey to conquer knowledge, contributing to the development of their homeland and country.
As October 20, Vietnamese Women's Day, approaches, I want to send the warmest hugs with all my heart to all the grandmothers, mothers, and sisters who have been and are working hard on the journey to conquer their own goals and dreams, like the image of flowers silently blooming, adding color and fragrance to life and to people.
And I also want to send my best wishes to the men who help women become important and beautiful like the knight Gawain. Posterity will not remember Gawain as a proud knight just because he saved King Arthur, will it, brothers?
