The case is being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.

Xuyen Viet Oil Trading and Tourism Company Limited is one of nearly 40 major petroleum trading enterprises nationwide, licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to import and export petroleum on November 19, 2021, valid for 5 years.

In mid-August, the Minister of Industry and Trade decided to revoke the petroleum export and import business license of this company.

The authorities also requested the above company to immediately transfer the entire amount of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund at the enterprise to the state budget and send a copy of the money transfer documents to the Ministry of Finance (Price Management Department) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Domestic Market Department).

Previously, in 2022, Xuyen Viet Oil had its import clearance for gasoline and oil temporarily suspended by the customs authority due to the company's late tax payment, with the enforced tax amounting to over VND684 billion. In the first 6 months report of this year by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Xuyen Viet Oil was on the list of businesses with high tax debts of up to VND1,531 billion.
