On September 6, information from Ho Chi Minh City Police said that they had just prosecuted a group of people who used the cover of a beauty salon to operate illegal services, illegally profiting large sums of money.
Carrying out a peak period of attacking and suppressing all types of crimes, ensuring security and order for important political events in 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized maximum forces, means and equipment to ensure security and order, strongly attack and suppress all types of crimes and law violations; especially crimes that infringe on people's lives and health.

From the results of screening and inspecting medical examination and treatment facilities, health care facilities, and unlicensed cosmetic surgery activities, Ho Chi Minh City Police discovered that Ho.pital SW Facility (49B Cao Thang, Ban Co Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is owned by Nguyen Thi Huong (32 years old, residing in Go Vap Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Although not granted a license to operate a medical examination and treatment facility or a license to operate a cosmetic surgery facility, Huong still directed the facility to perform liposuction services on various areas of the body from January 2025 to present for more than 500 customers in need; illegally profiting nearly 10 billion VND.

To attract customers, Nguyen Thi Huong directed Duong Tan Long (marketing staff) to post false advertising information about the specialist doctors collaborating with the facility; hired individuals to pretend to be people coming to get liposuction to post on social networking sites.

Notably, although he has not been granted a certificate to practice cosmetic plastic surgery, Nguyen Minh Khai (32 years old, residing in Tan Son Nhat ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was still hired by the owner of this facility to perform liposuction for customers.

Based on the collected documents and evidence, on August 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Thi Huong, Nguyen Minh Khai, and Duong Tan Long for the crime of "Deceiving customers" to continue investigating related violations. The case is currently being further investigated and expanded to be strictly and thoroughly handled according to the provisions of law; contributing to the correction of unlicensed medical examination and treatment activities, especially cosmetic surgery facilities in the area.
