Red alert activated to rescue 2 children in a series of accidents in Duong Noi

On July 17, Hanoi Children's Hospital informed about the emergency treatment for the two youngest victims in the "crazy car" accident that caused multiple casualties in Duong Noi urban area (Duong Noi ward, Hanoi city) on the evening of July 16.

According to Deputy Director of Hanoi Children's Hospital Do Thi Thuy Nga, after the accident, the hospital received two seriously injured children who were siblings and the children of Ms. LTHG (born in 1995, in Ha Dong ward, Hanoi). Immediately upon receiving these two patients, the hospital activated the red alert procedure for the entire hospital, mobilizing maximum human resources, equipment and related specialties to carry out emergency work.

Examination showed that the youngest patient (41 months old) was admitted to the hospital in a state of severe multiple trauma, coma, difficulty breathing, extensive bleeding from the scalp, many scratches and bruises on the skin all over the body; diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, fracture of the right clavicle, and pulmonary contusion. The remaining patient (68 months old) was admitted to the hospital in a state of panic, bleeding from the head, many scratches and bruises on the skin all over the body; diagnosed with multiple trauma.

The youngest patient in the series of accidents in Duong Noi is receiving intensive treatment at Hanoi Children's Hospital.

Upon receiving the above 2 children, Hanoi Children's Hospital quickly provided comprehensive emergency treatment for the children's injuries. Currently, the health status of the 2 children is being closely monitored and controlled at the Intensive Care Unit. Vital functions are controlled with the support of vasopressors to maintain circulation and mechanical ventilation to support breathing.
